Burn HD MPG Files to normal DVD and play in HD-DVD Player
I have 1440 x 1080 HD mpg files but can I use VS 11+ to burn them on a regular dvd but play them in a HD-Player and view them as 720P? If so is there a walkthrough on how to do it? Thanks...

You will be able to burn HD onto a standard DVD with
Ulead® VideoStudio® 11.5 Plus - Facts & Features - Coming Soon!
Obviously though you will not get so much video (in playback time) on such a disc. Such a disc will only be playable in a HD disc player (such as a Blu-ray Disc set top player or Sony® PlayStation® 3.)

You can use either VS10+ or VS11+ now to make a HD-DVD.
In VS10+ simply install the latest 2 patches.
In VS11+ you burn you HD-DVD to a standard DVD, which as you know will yield about 20minutes for a single layer dvd.
As for the 720p that is done in the "Playback Device". So leave your source video as it is, fielded UFF, 1440x1080i@25MBS, audio=your choice.
The player will perform the conversions in hardware whether to output the source video in SD (composite/s-video), 480i/480p/720p/1080i/1080p
There should be no need to change your source video parameters to match your HDTV, its done in the playback device using the playback devices "Display Modes".
