You shouldn't have to do this except for special programs, DEP prevents arbatrary malicious code from running. If DEP stops a program it will inform you of doing so.ive tried turning of DEH(something like that ) for ulead vs 11
Call tech support, Vista has advanced system protection, which is good, except can be a pain.

ive set it back on, but what i am trying to do is solve this security problem, the error is a security error, meaning that the security should be turned off, but that is not the solution, so i turned it back onetech6355 wrote:You shouldn't have to do this except for special programs, DEP prevents arbatrary malicious code from running. If you have a VS icon on your desktop, right click on it. There should be a command 'Run as System Administrator' or something similar (sorry, I am away from home at the moment and don't have Vista on the system I am currently using.)
Now you might think you already have Admin privileges, but Vista is a bit different in that regard. Anyway, try using that command and see if there is any difference...
Mind you, I did a straight install of VS11+ on my Vista Home Premium computer, and have never seen that message or had to use the System Admin command either...
Can you also tell us if your installed the full version over the top of a previously installed trial version. That usually causes all sorts of complications, even when not using Vista.
