How to save menu defaults and other options

Hello All,

In MF3 is there a way to default to a certain menu template other than Gene01? I would also like to save other settings like:
Background Music = General
Font selection,etc

Also in the last menu I always have to change Advanced Options from Fast re-editable to Standard. And in Options, I always need to deselct "Include project file to disc"

What I have tried:
1) Checked all the various .ini files for these settings. Didn't see any.
2) Save a DMZ file with the right settings, recall it - remove video (in order to select my next video). When I do this I lose all the settings.

There is a method to change the default template in DMF. It's a little complex and involves a series of changes to the registry which can be dangerous. Definitely not something for novices. It had been mentioned by another user on the old forum about a year ago. If he made the transition to this forum, perhaps he could post to this thread. I had tried it on DMF2 and it worked like a champ!

In terms of the other options you would like to set as defaults, I don't know.
