How to get a clip to pause

Post by bob733 »

I have just spent a good amount of time trying to figure out something.

In Samples/3 D, there is a clip (Show Time, it is the first clip). I want to put this at the very front, and play at normal speed BUT, I want it to hold at the end (with out going to black).

I noticed that when I put this clip on the timeline, there is no blue Pause. When I put it on an overlay track, there is a pause. I have played with this pause every which way from sunday, but I can not get it to pause at all.

If I Shift/drag either end of the clip, it ssllloooooowwwwwssssss it down. I dont want this. I want normal speed, but then hold (stay on the screen)

Whist typing this, I guess I could put one clip first, thne put a second on up there and clip all but the last frame showing Show time, and stretch that out. But I would hope you can do this with the sliders.

Thanks

Bob

Edit: actually I just tried the idea I had and it worked (clip second clip to only the last frame and stretched that frame to hold)

Yep Bob... or go to the frame you want, capture "frame as a still" and whack the still in the spot.
