I have been using divx to compress video using videostudio 10 plus on windows xp x64 without difficulty.
However, trying to do the same on my new vista laptop, and divx compression option is not availabe in the "Video Save Options" on the avi tab?
Any thoughts on how to get divx up and running on the vista machine? I have installed divx, so that shouldn't be the problem.
Thanks in advance!
Marshal.

What version of the DivX codec do you have? I know that some aspects of earlier versions of the DivX bundle were not compatible with Vista. However, I recently installed the DivX bundle on my Vista Home Premium machine. It includes the DivX Pro codec version 6.7. And in VS11+ on the same machine, when I go to save a project (Share > Create Video File), and select Custom, then .avi, then Options, within the Compression drop down list on the third (AVI) tab is DivX 6.7.
