I cannot install the 3.0x86 files . The microsoft error report says some other files are missing and preventing the installation . I will pursue this further when I get the time . I am giving up on WinDVD 8 I am convinced there is a serious flaw in the software . I base that opinion on the fact that I reinstalled WinDVD 7 and it works perfectly. I didn't even uninstall WinDVD8 prior to installing WinDVD7.
I am no longer going to try to install DVD Copy 6 either . These programs should never and I repeat never be this difficult to get up and running.
