Capturing analog from VCR
I have a Hauppage WINTV 418 Video capture card. I tried to capture video from a VCR using SVideo and rca plugs(for theaudio). However, I cannot seem to get a signal to capture. Any ideas?

You are using VS11, and I am afraid there is a registered bug with it which does not allow analogue-source capture. In any case, I think you will find that the Hauppage card does not work with Video Studio more generally -- though I stand to be corrected on that.
At the very least, other users of Hauppage cards on this Board have made it pretty clear that they don't seem to work with VS11. (Some hardware companies refuse to share the coding for their hardware with other software companies, like Corel/Ulead, to preserve their proprietary secrets.) Thus, the recommendation is to use the software which came with the card to do the captures, then open it in VS for editing.
