Bonus CD installation

Post by kelleen »

I just received my boxed version of VideoStudio 11 Plus. Off the Bonus CD I installed the WinDV program, but how do I install the 'extra' images, etc.? Also, the extra 'videos' on the Bonus CD won't open in Windows Media Player, the 'file is unrecognizalbe'. Maybe a codec problem?

A lot if not all the videos on the Bonus disc apparently use the Indeo codec which is not compatible with Vista (which I see you are using). So you can forget them anyway. They are there for people installing VS11 on an XP computer.

As for the other images etc, I just copy and paste them to folders on my computer. You can either find the relevant sub-folders within VS11's installation folder or set up separate folders so that they are more readily accessible from other programs in which you might want or be able to use them.

thanks...I will probably just copy them over to new folders so I can grab them from there.

Or you could of course leave them on the disc and use them on an as-needed basis. None of them, as far as I am aware, is essential to the good working of Video Studio, and you would save that extra bit of hard disk space...
