" Edit: Stitch Scanned Images " missing from menu

Post by lunghd »

Hello all - Searched & found no replies that covered this one.

I'm trying to stitch two digital images together & both my "Help" menu & this website tell me to go to "Edit" and select "Stitch Scanned Images" from the options... only problem is there is no "Stitch" option in the menu!

These are not 'scanned images' but rather .jpgs if that makes a difference.

I have V11.0.0.1 & '' think '' I have it updated. (The updater doesn't work & I have to manually download updates.)

Thanks for any guidance you can offer.

I don't have PI 11 installed anymore and, hence, can't check it out directly. I have, however, in the past stitched images with it.

What editing mode are you in?

Thanks for the response.

"Editing Mode"??? No idea. Sorry - I'm a casual user & don't know the ins & outs of PI 11 enough to find every available tool.

Managed to 'manually "stitch" by creating new image 2x size of single original then copied & pasted the two selections together. Loads of fun.

I'm just curious why my menu doesn't even offer the option to "Stitch". I've had this registered for at least a year & am reasonably sure I have all updates that I could manually download.

I'm on PI 12 now which offers a lot of different work spaces. I'm not sure about PI 11 now, and can't check either, but previous versions of PI had at least two modes. Basic and Standard mode. In PI 10 (still have that one installed) you can access the modes via the Workspace menu. Be aware though that, if you change from the standard mode to basic mode, all you own creations in the EP are lost.

When you click on the Workspace menu, the active choice is grayed out. If Basic is grayed, click on Standard and see if your stitching now works.

Hey! That did it! I now have a zillion more options to play with including the elusive "Stitch"!

I certainly appreciate the assist! :D
