Post by findlaw »

I'm really frustrated right now and need help. I just installed Ulead Studio 11 and when I start it an error messages appears and the message says:

Ulead Videos Studio has generated and error and would be close down now.

And once I click okay, the program will be closed down.

My system infomation are:

Microsoft Windows XP
Home Edition
Version 2002
Service Park 2

Packard Bell
Packard Bell Computer
AMD Athlom(tm) XP 3000+
2 16 GHz, 512 MB RAM

Hope to get some help.

Thanks

Uninstall the software and try reinstalling it.

findlaw, Are you installing the download trial or the version out of the box?

I decided to test the trial version before buying it but it won't work and here are the things I've done so far:

I ran a full virus scan with Norton Antivirus and it found one tracking
cookie which it fixed.

I ran a full scan with spybot and it fixed all the found problems.

I ran a full scan with ad-aware and if fixed all the problems found.

However when I ran a full scan with the RegistrySmart it could not scan
one location called File Associations, it scanned and fixed everything
else but whenever it gets to this location it generates the same error
that says:

RegistrySmart has generated an error and would be closed.

Do you know what else I should do?

Hope to hear from you soon.

Could you tell me which version of Directx you have installed?

VS is crashing because it can't setup it's environment. Usually this is because of capturing drivers, other codecs installed on the computer & other programs that supply/install new codecs on the system, including audio drivers..
When this happens it's very hard to find the problem. I would look for any codec packs that you have installed to play multimedia files and a Clevo pointed out you do need to have the latest version of DirectX installed (the latest DirectX updates from MS).

Uninstall the latest Java update. It worked for me.
