I`m sure it was answered already, but I can`t find it in search:
I have tons of unused video-files on the hard-drive after finishing my video-project. How do I delete all the files I did not use?
Thanks!

Deleting files with Library Manager
It makes things a lot easier if your clips ,files and projects are stored in the Library Manager then they can be deleted in one swoop. To access the L.M either Go Tools ¡VLib Man or select it from the list via the drop down arrow next to where you change the library type.Choose the media type then new-name it,select edit to amend name/description if required. You can then delete the named folders and their contents in one go when you want to.
If you did not use the L.M. a project file will have a .vsp extention.
To delete non consequtive files - Select the 1st file then hold down control as you highlight each file then click delete +shift to delete them all.
To del consequtive files ¡V Select 1st file, +select the last clip which will highlight all inbetween then press del. + shift which will remove all those clips from the library. In V.S. 9 + later confirm that you want the files deleted from the hard drive too.In V>S> 8 + earlier deleting and icon will also delete the original file whether image, audio or a video file. For a tutorial on the L.M. see

Sorry, obviously I was not clear: I have a lot of video-clips in the project folder. I used some of them, not all of them. It would be a ton of work to find out the ones I didn`t use and delete them manually.
I know from Adobe Premiere about a function like "Delete unused videos". Then the program automatically deletes all the video-files that were not used for the project and keepy only the ones it needs.
I`m looking for the same function in Video Studio

OK I know what you mean now. VS doesn;t have this feature and you are comparing it to a professional editing software.
If you set up different project files and keep everything for that project in that folder it makes things a lot easier later on. I intend to keep all mine till I start running out of room then delete old project files in one swoop when the time comes.
In the Wish List section above you'll find something similar to this has been asked for.
