Hello I just bought VS11 online and was trying to make a quick dvd with a few clips and tried to make a custom menu when I realized that I only have three menus to choose from and cannot do any customization of buttons or anything. in other words, it seems as if my selections are extremely limited to three dvd menus and like two sets of buttons to choose from. Please help!
thanks, zach

Did you install the Contents? When installing VS programs, you will have more then the Main Program file.
Are you running the:
1. TBYB (Trial version)
2. ESD (Downloaded)
3. BOXED (Purchased CDs)
4. Activated TBYB
If #1, then that's all there is. It is intended to show what the program is, and several things, like menus are excluded.
If#2, then you did not install all the files, such as the Content files. These are received by email. Go back and check your email for the other links. Be advised that these links expire generally within a couple of weeks. So I would not put this off.
If #3, then find the content file, and install it.
If #4, well... we have recommended against activating the TBYB versions. There are too many problems when trying to install patches.

Private seller or an organisation?Zach wrote:i bought it off of ebay and had it digitally delivered and I think I might have gotten ripped off. There is nothing else for me to install or download. It's almost like I got an unlocked version of the trial version. I don't know what is going on!!!!!
It is always dodgy purchasing software from a private seller from any online site. You can report bad transactions to Ebay. How did you pay - if credit card you might be able to get a refund from them.

It was from a private seller i think. their name was http.ebooks so of course they sounded like the were an e bay store and with good record with 800+ items sold and 99.1% positive feedback and everything seemed to be ok to go. Well it was obviously to good to be true and I got the shaft. I guess you just cant trust anyone anymore on e bay and have to be some kind of hacker to figure out whats a scam and what is not anymore these days.

i have emailed them and....nothing. it's been a day now. The crazy thing is now that i go back to check them out, it says that they are no longer registered e-bayers and when i click on the item number that e-bay sent me it says that it is no longer a listed item and when I made the "purchase" there were still two days left and would still be on e bay even after the auction ended. I really feel like a dummy!Clevo wrote:Contact the seller. It's possible they may still have the e-mail sent to him/her.

Sorry to hear that..
I've bought and sold several items off ebay, however never, ever software. If you look at the price of the software offered from the manufacturer/vendors, and what it sells for on ebay, you will see that there really is no savings on ebay. Most of Corel (Ulead's) programs average around $50 (US) for upgrades, and $100 for full packages. They really are not expensive, unlike their counterparts.
Software is just too easy to hack, to corrupt, to purchase it anywhere except from a retail store or direct from the manufacturer. At least when you purchase from them you will have some degree of warranty.
Just chock it up to education, which is very seldom free..
