MediaStudio8 w/Mpeg4 plugin for H.264 and the Sanyo VPC-CA65

Post by jwiatrek »

I recently purchased the Sanyo VPC-CA65 and I cannot open the movies using MediaStudio 8 w/Mpeg4 plugin for h.264. It gives an error that states 'the file[file path] contains no video data'. I can open the same file in VideoStudio11, however I have to movethe start point of the file .01 sec or more to get it to play in the clip mode.

The files play fine in Quicktime, or in Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0 that came with the camera, and even Windows Media Player since I loaded the Cole2K Media - Codec Pack.

Can anyone shed some light on the problem with Ulead MediaStudio and VideoStudio with the MPEG 4 H.264 files from the Sanyo VCP-CA65 camera.

Thanks

I'm not saying this is the cause, but please consider the possibility. MSP is quite intolerant of some codecs that are contained in such packs. I can't go into details because I don't know them and I don't know whether your pack contains any of the conflictual codecs in question.

Hi Devil,

Thanks for the idea, I had thought about that as well ... so I gave it a shot.

However, after I uninstalled the Cole2K codec and tried again with the same results...
