effect question

Post by dabear »

My buddy sent me a link to a video of some guy trying out some effects.
You might get a kick out this kid lol.

Moderator: link deleted as the site graphically linked to explicit pornography

So I was wondering how do I do the effect with the grapes? How they fall out his mouth but then pull back in? Also If someone could tell me the name of this effect will help out also

While using msp 8.0 of course

Apart from the pr0n problem, the kid had some atrocious taste in his own clip and it certainly did not give me a kick.

The grape sequence is easy. He stuffed his mouth with the grapes and filmed himself spitting them out. He then juxtaposed the clip 4 times with the 2nd and 4th times using Clip|Reverse.

Hey guys sorry about the porn on that site but i wasn't linking to it just the grape vid.

He then juxtaposed the clip 4 times with the 2nd and 4th times using Clip|Reverse.

Where do i go for the clip/reverse? So do i set it up so it's solid video that i can go back and forth?

I don't know whether I should simply ignore that question, where the answer is obvious or whether I should be downright rude and give you the answer you deserve.

If the latter: open your bloody eyes, we are not here to teach you how to read menus.

(To any persons, other than dabear, who happen to read this, I apologise but I do get so exasperated at times).

Right-click the clip you want to reverse - it's one of the options on the resulting menu.

You really need to consider investing in Getting Results.

I thought clip/reverse was added as an effect then cue up sections for play back .

I didn't look at it as more of a timeline/reverse clip type of effect at the time.(i know where Clip reverse is)

Hey Devil I bet when you started out some one felt "exasperated at times" with you. You should feel lucky some one looked past that and shared some knowledge with you. A helping hand some might say

[rant]If I felt exasperated, it inspired me to try and find the answer for myself. OK, I grew up with early versions of MSP, but there are still occasions when I have to work out the answer for myself to get the effect I seek. Any of the older users here will testify that I very rarely asked questions that I could have answered for myself by the manual and the help file or, importantly, simple experimenting. If you feel that my answers are curt, put it down to old age (75); I don't have enough time left to do all I want to do AND help people who don't even try to help themselves. So I make no apologies to you and simply ask you to try things out for yourself before asking others.

If you feel I'm OTT, complain to one of the admins, Steve or Ron. They will admonish or ban me if I am really OTT[/rant]

I apologise to others for wasting their time.
