I am still using VS10+.
I have started to receive the error message "Unable to make the folder" when trying to start a new project, first time this has happened in a year or more of usage.
I have had a new motherboard and hard drive (see updated profile) recently installed - have no space problems or RAM problems (2GB). It was working fine after the upgrade was done to the PC, but now I cannot start a new project.
I shall try uninstalling VS10+ and reinstalling, but any ideas as to what is causing that message please?
Thanks

Don't think I have heard of that one before!
But before doing a reinstall, I would first check to make sure your c:\Documents and Settings\[Your Name]\Local Settings\Temp folder has been cleaned out of all files that accumulated there (don't worry if Windows won't allow you to clean out everything...)
I would also check to see, in File > Preferences, where your working directory is located, and assure yourself that there is plenty of room on that drive.

The reason for the install Ken is that since the upgrade of the motherboard and video card, the system has been crashing ( not a blue screen kind of crash, everything just freezes and 5 secs later screen goes black), needing a switch off. To begin with my PC guy thought it might be a compatibility issue between the new motherboard and the existing hard drive. So I got a compatible HD, but it is still happening. Hence the next step of reinstalling windows (and of course everything else!!). VS10+ has also been 'falling over' - it will launch, I'll start to load a project and VS just closes and I have to start again. It is very erratic - system crashed 3 times yesterday, hasn't crashed once today YET! I was able to burn off 5 PAL DVD's and 2 NTSC safely.
