Hi
I upgraded to UVS11 demo version and found that there are only one capture plugin on UVS11 (IVI capture component). My UVS10 had 6 different once. The UVS11 plugins does look that good in the preview window when you capture in DV format.
I Use the Panasonic GS400 DV cam.
How can I add more capture plug-ins?
Regards
Johann

Hi Lancecarr
Yes very nice cam. Sad that they took it off the market for replacement with a lesser functional product¡K GS320.
The quality preview of uvs11 is not as good as uvs10. I have not looked at the captured AVI file yet to see if there is a quality difference. Will do it tonight
The preview could be because of my ATI screen driver. It is a relatively new card. It came out after the release of UVS11.

I wouldn't go too much by the preview window, it is just a preview.
Remember you are simply transferring the DV data from the tape to the computer so there no real difference in the quality of the transfer. You take a bunch of 0's and 1's from the tape and write the same bunch of 0's and 1's on the hard drive.
Any percieved quality difference would have to be occurring within the playback of the computer, not the quality of the data. The data is either there or not there.
Yeah they dumbed down the GS400 after that, I think it probably still is the pinnacle of DV cams.
