I have rendered a video project of 5.24 MB. It is a wedding video that I saved as a DVD mpeg file and then called back up to "make disc". I am using a memorex DL DVD disc to place the DVD on. When I play the finished DVD back it hangs and starts numerous times at the end. The problem happens during about the last 3 minutes of recorded video. I called the project back up at "make disc" and used the "play preview" option as though I were remaking the disc and there was no evidence of hanging there. How do I solve this problem.
Thanks

And does your video "fill" the disc? In other words, is it burned all the way to the edge of the disc? I once had a problem with a disc stalling near the end. I ended up reducing the bitrate so it didn't fill the disc and that solved the problem.

At 5.24 GB (which is not hugely over the limit of a single layer disc), I personally would reduce the bitrate of the original DVD compliant mpeg-2 project just a little so that you can fit the whole thing on a single layer disc. The loss of quality would almost undoubtedly not be noticeable given the relative sizes and you wouldn't be having this problem with a dual layer disc.
But if you still have the original project and the original video files still linked to the original project file, I would do it there i.e. render a new DVD compliant mpeg-2 from the original project, but with a lower bitrate setting. I would avoid as far as possible taking the mpeg-2 you currently have and re-rendering that with a lower bitrate, as that could potentially produce a noticeable drop in quality.

The size is 5.24 G. The burner is a DL burner. How do you tell if a disc is filled to the edge? How do you adjust the bit rate and what would you adjust it to (1) if redoing the double layer or (2) if attempting to adjust the 5.24 GB to fit on single layer?
Thanks

Have you ever looked at a burned DVD? You can definately see where the burned area is.How do you tell if a disc is filled to the edge?
See What Bitrate Settings Should I UseHow do you adjust the bit rate
