Starting with a clean library - HOW?

Post by screwball2 »

When I load UVS11+ All the video clips are automatically loaded from a previous project. How can I start with a clean sheet , then clips or images from my latest project can be imported. I cannot just delete the older clips as the project is not complete. I assume this is something to do with the library manager, but I am dubious about moving them or deleting without some guidance. Surely, like Word documents, one can just open and close different projects at will without any overlap of files?

The images in the library are just thumbnails pointing to the actual files.

You can safely delete the thumbnails in the library as this will not be deleting the actual file.

To delete multi thumbnails you can use the Ctrl or Shift and click on the thumbnails you want and then press delete.

In the Library Manager you can create sub directories for different projects. But the default library that shows will be the main video thumbnail library. I haven't experimented enough with the library to learn to change the default or if it is possible.

You cannot change the default library. The library with the VS sample clips will always be the default.

As Clevo said, you can delete those thumbnails if you like.

What I do is make a custom library for each project I am working on. When I am done with the project I simply shift+delete to delete the files and thumbnails, then I delete the library. Nice and tidy.
