VS10 MP4 workaround

Post by madkitty »

ok so as MP4 isnt supported with the vista patch is there any way around this. I need it for the avi files that I occasionally use from my camera so its not worth me paying out for the VS11 upgrade

ulead isnt so good with Mp4s you should use the program TMPGEnc Plus and install the Cole2kMedia Codec Pack V6.0.9 Advanced or higher and then convert it from there and then edit it etc.

Its not a good idea to convert files using Ulead software especially VS.

Hope that helps.

You could also install Nero's MP4 codec its free but it would add a small logo on the top right hand side of the screen. (btw its not a permanent one its just a reminder to purchase it. It will disappear once you buy it.
