Does VSP 11+ get sluggish after adding video filters

I have applied Video filters to my clips.

It is like this. All clips have Antishake filter.

4 Clips have Antishake+Denoise+Autolevel.

The clips played smoothly before adding filters.

The question is: Is it normal of VSP 11+ to get sluggish when video filters are added.

I edit MP-4 clips

If you mean when playing the results in the preview window then with that level of filtering I would say yes!

The VS preview window is not exactly the sharpest tack in the box but remember it is slapping all that together "on the fly" and MPEG4 in itself is processor intensive.

You might want to remove the filters and do all your cuts, fades, transistions, titles etc first then as the last step add the filters back in. Although with all those filters on an MP-4 I think it may take some time to render!

Actually I did exactly as you mentioned, except for the fact that I need to edit video clip sound levels and add music track. I guess MP4 should take less time to render given the fact that they are compressed and carry small file sizes. Again this is true if I mainrtain same video properties. It can render slowely, however, when I try to convert them into a DVD format while saving.

Every clip that you have added a filter to will have to be TOTALLY rewritten.
MPEG4 will not render faster beciause it is smaller, it will render slower because it is more compressed and you have altered, by adding the filters, every aspect of those highly compressed files.
