Well - I got my first project all finished and sat down to watch it...
Then realized that it flickers more than a Japanese cartoon! Almost went into seizure watching it... Unfortunately I'd deleted all the files from my computer so I've got to start again - armed with the knowledge about LFF vs UFF vs Frame Based.
The LFF/UFF/Frame Based seems to be a common mistake based on the number of posts.
My question is:
Are there any other very common mistakes that I should be aware of (and avoid) as I begin to re-create this project?
I've seen posts about:
- proper workflow/not rendering too often
- two pass conversion
- anti-flicker setting
I know this is a very broad question - but any thoughts would be appreciated.
Common mistakes?

Well, at the very least you should have a look at the tutorial section of the Board, and in particular carefully read the Suggested Workflow by sjj1805 at http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=20224

Do not delete ANY files from your computer until you have burned and watched the project from a DVDozzy667 wrote:Are there any other very common mistakes that I should be aware of (and avoid) as I begin to re-create this project?
In more broad terms do not be in such a hurry to delete files - you never know when you may need to make a simple change - or make any updates/improvements to your work of art.

Trying to burn your project straight from the timeline will sometimes cause problems for some people. That is why we advise to first create a DVD compatible mpeg2 file, THEN use that to burn (AKA the Suggested Workflow).
