I'm am locking this thread along with some comments.

Be prepared when the patch for ulead is released, because then you will want to really learn all about the avchd/h264 codec, it's use, application along with proper playback on computers & equipment. You will need a fairly robust computer to edit & work with the avchd/h264 video files.

I'd also like to see more constructive posts on how to encode/re-code/cross convert avchd/h264 after VS11+ patch is released.

If you can't wait for VS11+ patch then buy MF6+, install the patches and you will be able to work with avchd. You can create HD-DVD's, AVCHD disks & avchd/h264 files. You can import or directly insert your m2t's or m2ts files. Corel also has a 30 day money back guarantee on this purchase.
