Does anyone know when the next version (v.13) will be out for PhotoImpact?

Is the acquisition of PI by Corel having any influence on the future of PI and its continued development??

That is the 60 Mio dollar question. BTW, Corel didn't just buy PI, the bought the lot.

There has been an announcement that there will be a new version of PI shortly. When exactly is anyones guess.

Well announced in the japanese site for 9th november. I think that will have a lot of things but many are for templates and click and go work. My altavista japanese isnt so good so looks that we get a new cool 360, corel mediaone plus and painter essentials 3 in the pack. Ltes wait for news in the english site...it is always late.
