Playing converted AVI files

Ok I am done with this one.
Here is the first thing that started you off in error:
"I converted (using Xilisoft ) MP4 clips ( 35 in all ) to AVI format."

My only suggestion would be to take the original files and see if you can work with them in VS. When that is finally done export to a file type of your choice and see how the conversion looks.

Failing that load each original file into the timeline, one at a time, and export to the properties you want for editing. My suggestion would be
DV Type 1 as VS likes that. At that point you could try to adjust the frame rate.

Bottom line here is that MP-4 files are for distribution, not editing, despite what the makers of the phone and others may advertise.

I did finally import the files in MP4 format. Edited them with difficulty. Rendered them in DVD PAL 4:3. It played well; however inbetween while rendering and while playing I saw the video jumping off the screen(frame) a little bit.
