Can I configure DVDWS to startup with custom color mapping?

Post by jlietz »

Hi,
I'm trying to find out if there is a way to configure Workshop 2.0 to display a custom color mapping scheme at startup rather than the 3 default schemes. I have to manually customize color mapping each time I start a new project (and worse, for each menu within a project...). I'd like to be able to just click on my custom color mapping scheme rather than enter it each and every time.
One more thing, what is the purpose of the "Save color mappings to project" checkbox. It doesn't seem to do anything.
Thanks.

Color Mappings

Post by GeorgeW »

Hi,

The "Save color mappings..." applies to the current project you are working on.

Not sure about making it the default for future projects -- did you see the reply on the other forum for how one user does it?

Yeah, I saw that one. Not quite what I'm looking for though. I guess I was hoping that the default colors in the color mapping area are defined somewhere in an editable file. If that was the case I could just overwrite with the RGB values I want to use.
Any Ulead (or non-Ulead) people out there have any ideas?
Thanks.

A work around

I know its a bit cludgy but couldn't you set up template project with all the settings as you like them? Then modify desktop/start menu links to DWS to open this project and then do a save-as for each new project. Not very elegant but possibly better than manually adjusting the colours each time.
