What is "Expandable Timeline"?

Post by ozzy667 »

I'm starting to figure out the Trial version - thanks to the many posts and tutorial videos.

Looking at the difference between basic and plus versions - most of the missing features in the basic version don't seem to affect me since I don't have an HD camcorder.

BUT - what exactly is an "Expandable Timeline"?

I'd hate to buy the basic version and then miss out on something good.

It simply means that you can adjust the timeline view so that, for example, you have 20 clips in the timeline and you can reduce the timeline down so you can see all 20. Or, you can enlarge the timeline (stretch it) so that one clip occupies the entire visible section of the timeline.

Also, the Plus version comes with 6 overlay tracks. I believe the "regular" version only comes with 1.
