Hi there
VideoStdudio does have help files - on the top right corner, you will see a ? question mark. Click on this and select VideoStudio Help. Now you can search for topics like "Creating and Saving a Video File" which will have a subtopic about Preview Range.

Tobie -- As I just said in the other thread where you posted this, I suspect that (most) users know how to find Help files. As that particular users says, though, his upgrade version did not seem to come with the files which are activated by the ? button. There are quite a few upgrade users who have complained of the same problem since Corel took over the actual sale of VS11 from Elements5. It seems that the Help files are in the second of the three upgrade/download file packages (Extra Content). But for some reason, Corel seems only the giving a link to the first (i.e. main program) package, and not the second or third (Bonus) package when a user buys the product. It would be appreciated if you could check with Corel to avoid this in the future.

I think Tobie you need to take a further look at the situation. There have been a number of new users who have purchased online and have only been sent the link to the main program in the confirmation email. The remianing two links to the extra content etc have been missing. memebrs have been trying to find and maintain active links for those people.

Me too... This still continues.
So, as seen in the announcement thread on Ulead VideoStudio 11.5 Plus /Power Pack/Media 1, I recently upgraded to VS 11+. I never received more than one link to download from and am apparently missing quite a bit of content that I should have. To start with, there is no online help, neither is there any "InterVideo?WinDVD?Player included" anywhere.
I just posted a question to Corel through the support web pages through "Email Corel" and the pages automatically generated an answer suggesting me to look at some FAQs that have absolutely nothing to do with this issue. I'll wait and see if there will be a real answer from them anytime soon.
