Post by mitcs0ke »

Don't know if this the right place or not, but can someone tell me if

If you are talking about animated menus, then the Cool 3D program which comes with Video Studio does wonderful titles. Takes a little bit of getting used to, and the version that is provided is a cut-down one, but it does a great job and of course is free. I use its 'big brother', Cool 3D Production Studio, which gives you many more options though can be annoyingly slow. Professional looking results though.

I also use another 3D program for animated titles called Xara3D, which is much quicker and can also produce spectacular results. It costs US$49.95, however. There are a variety of other commercial programs too, including those using the Flash format. Ulead also have a GIF animator program which I understand can be used for titles, though I have never done so.

If you are talking about static titles, then virtually any photo editing software will do the job.

For menus to be used with Video Studio, the only option for creating your own is to use the Ulead PhotoImpact program as the VS menus use a PhotoImpact proprietary format. The Ulead GIF Animator program I think comes bundled with PhotoImpact.
