I've a sony dvd camera and I can't hear the audio in her format mpg.
Can you help me.

If it's a cam that records to DVD using AC3 you need editing software that supports AC3 (Dolby Digital). There's a plug-in available for VS8.

You can purchase the plugin here.

Or you can get the upgrade to Videostudio V9, it includes support for AC-3 Dolby Digital out-of-the-box.

Torsten, when you say VS 9 'supports' AC-3, do you mean (as I think you do) that it will at least allow capture of AC-3 audio, but process and output it as something else? Or do you mean that it actually includes the AC-3 module? From my reading of the site, it still shows as an optional plug-in for $29.95...

EDIT: have now corrected myself in another post. Found the small print in the Plug-ins page of the Ulead site, which I swear was not there last night. But it confirms the AC-3 module is included in VS9, but you still have to buy it for VS8.

The AC-3 Dolby Digital plugin is now listed as the "Ulead VideoStudio 8 Dolby Digital® Audio Plug-in" on the Ulead website, and the Videostudio 9 vs. Videostudio 8 comparison shows a checkmark for UVS 9 next to "Dolby Digital Audio Support", whereas UVS 8 says "Plug-In":

I've ordered the boxed UVS V9 upgrade, but haven't received it yet, so I cannot confirm this with 100% confidence, but it seems that AC-3 support is now included in the Full (non-SE) version. For the SE versions, it will continue to be optional:
