Editing Audio

Is there a way to edit out part of an mp3 once it's imported into the project?
There is a segment of song (very small) I wanted to cut out. I know this can be done on other programs but can't seem to be able to find how on Version 9.

You would "cut" it just like you cut a video clip - with the scissors or with mark in/mark out.

A word of advice: MP3s are a compressed format and some people have problems with them. You may be better off by first converting them to wav files.

Also, VS is a fine video editor, but not the greatest audio editor. Working with an audio editor may make things easier. Try the free Audacity.
