Putting Video on web page

Post by ARJRER »

Hi, I have made a 45 second video using VS8. I would like to know if I can upload this video to a web page? Do I have to save the video to a special ext in order to do this?

Thanks.

Use WMV if your going to leavr it as a link. Mpeg doesn't autoplay nor does it open up a file dialog box, you need to right click and select "save as"

Hi

What format is your video clip in.
Avi / Mpeg 2 / Mpeg 1 / Wmv

You need to reduce the size of your video file to make it easier to view on the web.
Large files take a long time to load and your audience gets bored.
If you use .wmv files, these not only reduce the size but will play on a pc using windows media player.

If you are using VS 8 go to Share / Share Video on Line.
You have several options regarding size / quality. Test a few out to see which one is suitable.

You can always use windows media encoder to produce the same files.
Free download from:-

Hope this helps
