PhtotoImpact for 3d work,texturing painting, using photos

Iv used photoimpact for post photo work before and liked the program alot. I am coming to a point where I want to perchase either this program or Photoshop eliments.

I do alot of 3d work and want to learn how to texture using photo reference for my 3d models. I normaly use zbrush but want to try doing it the traditional way.

So question is does photoimpact have the tools for the job?
