How to export to DV tape ?

I have VS8 installed on WinXP. I would like to ask how I can export the avi file to my DV tape ? I could not find such a function in export.

This is for version 9 :-

version 8 was very similar except that after selecting the thumbnail in the library (picture 3) it was 'Export' which highlighted at left - clicking on it opened a drop down of which the option you require is 'DV Recording'.

and page 6 on this site is a reduced tutorial for V7 - which is the same as V8

I was told ,when I tried to export to DV tape ,the following:

1) Your Tape is protected or
2) your DV camcorder doesn't support this function.

However, when I immediately use movie maker from XP, it works !

Why so ???
