Edit Movie

Post by Mrali »

Hello,
I am new to video editing and to Ulead VideoStudio, too. I just downloaded and installed the trial version of Video Studio.

1. How to show the frames of any loaded video for editing?
2. Does VideoStudio support Arabic? I tried to write some text in Arabic, but the text appears funny!!
3. Is VideoStudio for home use or for professtional use?

Thanks

1. File > Preferences > Clip Display Mode > Thumbnail only

2. Sorry, can't help on that one

3. VS is geared mostly for the amateur/consumer

Hello,

I have looked at the tutorial, but I have not seen a single frame deletion.

1. Is it possible that I remove a single frame from the movie?
2. Can I edit a sinlge frame (image) just like what I do in Photoshop?

Thanks

Yes, basically you can. What you need to do is slow down a bit, read all the tutorials, read the manuals, etc. Play with the software, experiment on your own. It's not that hard to learn!

You can cut frames out, just change the "thumbnail view" position the time line marker, make the "scissors" cut, and delete the unwanted section, or frame.

The "photoshop" edit, would require special software that allows you to edit the video, like Video Graphics Lab. This software allows painting and editing each frame of the video. This is very advanced, and not recommended for new users to video editing. (Unless you have the time and patience to learn it).

VS basically allows you to assemble video from parts of other video, allows you to add transitions, and some titles. Then you can optionally burn a DVD or make the video for the Internet.

Thats all it was designed to do, if you want more from it, you have to look elsewhere, learn a lot more about video editing, and spend more time learning the "tricks" of the trade.

Not very good there. Your best advice is to use a paint program and create your text there and just use it as a still image. You actually have more creative control by doing this anyways.

This is an example of title credits I did using just four images created with Photoimpact 12.
