Digital Rights Management.... I doubt you will get an answer that explains how to break copyright. But I'm sure if you tried really hard on Google you could find an answer.

DRM = Digital Rights Management. In practice it means it's copy protection and playback limited.
I purchased some video...
Most "purchased video" is copy protected. (Audio CDs are not.) DVDs are protected by CSS & Macrovision. VHS tapes use Macrovision. Downloaded movies are usually protected by Apple or Microsoft DRM.

You won't be able to edit the file or convert it a different format. There are programs to "crack" some types of copy protection and DRM, but they are illegal here in the USA.

You can probably copy the file(s) to a DVD as a "data" file, but that type of DVD will only play on your PC (probably only with Windows Media Player).

You should be able to watch the video on your computer, and depending on the video's DRM settings you may be able to watch it on your Zune player (if you have one). It's not going to work on your video iPod (if you have one) because Apple uses different DRM.
