PI 12 and RAW

Post by ken01 »

Whenever I attempt to open a RAW image, (from EOS 20D or 40D)
The image appears as a sickly aqua tinted negative
No amount of slider manipulation of the sliders will make any improvement.

Am I just wasting my time attempting to use PI??

You need to load the service pack for PhotoImpact. I had the same problem with my FZ50 images. Orange and blue weird colours. Then worked fine after the patch was applied. PI can be a tough program to love sometimes. I'm trying though.

Try here:

But, I have downloaded the pack. Only change was enabling EOS 40D RAW download.

Also on the raw menu, I see no way to convert to JPEG, TIFF, etc.

The Canon software has RAW conversion, about as many controls as PI.
Guess I'll just use it.
