sound query

I am trying to get rid of the sound from a clip i am editing, i have turned down the volume in the audio panel (and/or mute it) and then saved it as a trimmed clip. When i come to play the file in media player the sound is still there. Am i being really stupid and overlooking something? Is it possible to delete the sound from the file?

What I think is hapening is this: you have set your desired properties (muted) in the vsp (project) file. The clip. in its raw state, is still on your hard drive. If you play it, the sound is still there.
If, however, you go to SHARE - CREATE VIDEO FILE, and use the "instructions" in the project file to create a brand new file, you will get one without the sound.
