Ulead P I 6 Works better than 11

Seems P I 6 works better than P I 11 with vista home premium though it is not right. issues such as issuficient memory which is false and the gif animator 4.0 also has issues though I feel they are less than P I 11.

All this really is aggravating and the moral of this forum is to show anyone not to purchase any graphic software until you read or hear of it working properly so check and double check forums and such before you buy an upgrade. The right thing to do is for the company to help the ones that have been loyal to Photo Impact and make it right for all the aggravation and time lost working with the software . Just Isn't Right


The quote below from ulead makes me wonder if some are still having problems with P I that have upgraded to version 11 versus full versions because in this fine small print what is stated. I believe these types of notices should be at the top of their site in larger letters than at the bottom with fine print.

A full version of PhotoImpact 11 must be installed on your system before you can install Update Pack 1.

First things first. If you are running VISTA, use PI 12 and patch it for use with VISTA. PI 6 was released a long time before there was even talk of VISTA. Strange that it should work with VISTA at all. PI 11 has been a buggy release and had a serious issue with memory management.

Which version of PI 11 do you use? If you use a trial version, this cannot be patched, sorry.

I suggest to upgrade to PI 12 with the VISTA patch

This is not true...
PI12 works better than PI7 or 8 (that i bought too), but there's still troubles with the "insufficient memory" error...
Load a panel from the Path Library, and try to center it horizontal using the right-click menu...
On my Vista, with 4 gb of ram, the mentioned error appears again...
