Hi!
I recorded a film using a dvb-t Stick from television. This film has a resolution of 544 x 576, 24 Bits, 16:9, 25 frames/Sec, var. Bitrate; this seems to be the format of digital television.
Now I tried to get this movie to a DVD. With my old program I used before (ArcSoft ShowBiz DVD2) I was able to burn the DVD without the need of re-rendering. The only problem in this case is that ShowBiz doesn't support 16:9 format...
With Ulead Video Studio 11 plus I am not able to burn without re-rendering which is enormous time-consuming...
It seems that the DVD-standard doesn't support this format, but is there any other possibility to get this film to a DVD without rendering in Video Studio???javascript:emoticon(':(')
Sad
Kind regards,
Peter

Servus!
544X576 is not a DVD compliant format therefore reencoding is required to author a DVD.
However, some DVD players can be "fooled" to accept DVDs with this format by just patching the mpeg2 sequence headers.
see this guide: http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/DigiTV/dvbs-soft.htm
Anyway, you should be aware that this maight work only on some DVD players but other players will reject these disks.
As an alternative you could capture the movies from the austrian broadcast channels via Satellite instead of DVB-T. ORF transmits in 720X576 on Astra Satellite.
