Installing MF 6+ on Windows Server 2003 OS?

I have a system running windows 2003 server, I would like to install MF 6+ on that system as it has the best DVD recorder on it. I am getting DirectX problems when installing (says DriectX 9.0 or greater is not installed).

Any pointers/help is appreciated.
