Have the trial version of 11+. My comp is an Intel E6600, 2G ram, NVid 7800 gt. It runs the prog fine. I can import from my AVCHD from HDrive no problem with directory structure the same. My cam is Sony CX-7. Using one 2 min clip as a test, I tried to burn HD DVD (I have Tosh A-2), and couldn't do it. I could render and save a movie file to HDrive, but not to disk. On the edit screen, I could change the project settings to HD DVD. But when I try to burn it, the prog changes the output automatically to SD, and I can no longer change the prog settings back to HD and HD DVD. The file is sitting on my Hdrive, I can see the template for HD DVD on the prog, but the settings won't change back. Very frustrating.
Is there anything I'm missing? Has any1 had success burning HD DVD? I ordered the box version of the prog, but I'm cancelling until the issue gets resolved. Thx for any help.

I'll answer my own question
It was wrong to try to use VS 11+ for something it was advertised as being capable of. I should have just bought Pinnacle 11 and it would have saved me hours of frustration. I did this evening, it took me five minutes and I had an HD DVD that plays perfectly.
