I receive a message "some chapter entry frame numbers exceed the total number of frames" during rendering. What does it mean and how do I rectify it?
I am tired of buying software with these kind of error messages. Why can't programmers write error messages that normal people can understand?
Thanks for the help in advance.
Incomprehensible error message

Don't really know but it sounds as if a chapter point is beyond the length of the video. Have you set any chapter points in it then trimmed or otherwisw changed the video your using? Just a wild guess....
At least it's a little better than the old "Illegal operation". A lot of the error codes were never inteded to be viewed by the general public because the bug causing them should have been removed before it was marketed.

What actually happened is that there are wacky timestamps in your file.
I assume you are doing DVD authoring at this stage. One of the chapter points that you set has an unusual timestamp that says it is higher than the total length of the file. DVD Movie Factory is known to do this. Generally it is one of the chpater points beyond 85% of the file but can occur earlier.
What capture card did you use? My Hauppauge capture card, the PVR250 was especially susceptible to this with DMF1 and DMF2.
