Well, the great Daylight Savings Time change bug struck this morning. However, here in Arizona we stay on Standard time. Our clocks don't change anywhere - including my computer.
So, just how did Video Studio know to unleash its bug that unlinks all my projects???

Although i am in england, my pc did not change the time but VS 8 still lost the links.( maybe because i had it in bits)
I unticked the auto adjust clocks for daylight savings, on my time control.
Leaving the old time in tact.
Re installed the DST patch.
All library links now worked ok?????????????????
re ticked the auto adjust clocks for daylight savings, allowing my clock to alter by one hour.
Everything worked ok.

I had not installed the DST patch because of the reports in this forum that it did not work properly. So after hearing of your success, I installed it and my library was miraculously restored to functionality.
However, the question remains: How could Video Studio execute its DST bug on a computer that did not change its clock to DST? VS must be reading other DST related properties in XP...
