VS 11 - # of audio tracks

Post by Ronn »

Is there any way to add another audio/voice track or does the software limit it to one each?

Thanks,

Ronn

That's the limit unless you want to pre-mix two tracks into one.

Video Studio 11 Plus

Post by cet »

Are there only 2 audio tracks total for Video Studio 11 Plus?

Or is this true only for the regular Video Studio 11?

There are 2 audio tracks, no matter what version.

Sound on the Video tracks

Post by cet »

Can the video tracks include sound on them--beyond the 2 dedicated audio tracks?

Not unless you use a seperate audio editor that mixes the audio you want...

The video tracks do include the sound on them, unless you separate the sound from the video.

hmmmm....just trying tobe creative here but if you had a sound track, import it to the VS timeline and on the video track just put a black colour and expand that for the duration of the sound track..... output as a file and you'll finish up with a black video with sound that you can then use on the overlay track freeing up a sound track.

:)

You wouldn't have to add any color blocks. The "video" would just be whatever you have your default background color set to.

It would. I was just saying you wouldn't have to go thru the extra step of adding a color block when it is, essentially, already there.
