I've dropped an MP3 into the music track and at different points in my film I want to change its volume. To do this I've chopped it into clips each playing back to back into the next one.
But when I play my project the audio stutters at the chop points.
I've tried just saving all the audio together as a single MP3 that I could then drop back into a single sound track, but the stutters come out in the rendering as well.
Anyone know why it's doing this and how to cure it? Is there another way to alter volume level at specific points in a music track without cutting it into clips?
Thanks,
Rob

MP3 is a compressed format, and sometimes doesn't work well in VS. Try converting to a wav file. That usually fixes any problems.

Also, with putting audio clips back to back you will want to expand the timeline to it's most detailed to make sure the clipped tracks are as close to each other as possible.
You can also click to audio view and asjust the volume in sections by using the "worm" line. Click on the line to make a new handle that you can lift up or down to adjust volume.
But yeah....wave files are better to work with.
