Hello all.
I'm using VS11+ and was messing around with it earlier today. I read that you can save the date info as a subtitle and figured I'd give it a try. I went into the DV quick scan to start the process. Once the scan was done and I continued on with the project I clicked next and continued on. After that I told the computer to add everything to the timeline and then told it to add the date info to the que also. Then the computer rewound the camcorder and started from the begining again capturing at normal speed. What's the point? Even if you don't add in the date info it still rewinds and plays at regular speed to capture.
Maybe I'm missing something or I have the blasted thing set up wrong. Can anyone shed any light on the subject for me?

DV capture from a tape is ALWAYS done in real time - note what you say in your own post - you used quick SCAN - it does not say quick capture.
The object of the process is that you do a scan which allows you to select only those parts of the tape that you need - then the tape is rewound and just the bits selected are transferred - not the wole tape thus saving editing time.
It seems to me that VideoStudio is behaving exactly as I would expect it to.
