A question about the text input in DMF6.0

Post by Zaroy »

Hi,

What I bought is English version of DMF6.0. Do you have any trick if typing in French, Japanese, Chinese for the title or text in the video clips?

thanx!

I don't know about Chinese or Japanese, but French works exactly the same way as English.
You can also use a word processor program to type the text in the language that you want, then copy it (Ctrl-C) and paste it into MF6. I use to type some special French characters as the quote marks, for instance.

Hi,
You don't need a "copy and paste" function, to do that. I tried it myself.
Here is how I do this.
When I am ready to paste a "special" text in a title, I do these steps:
1-I close my DFM6 window ( just the window, not the program)
2- I open my word processing software and type the desired text (in the desired language)
3- I select the text and copy it
4-I close my word processing windom (just the window) and reopen my DMF6 window
5-I paste the copied text in place of the text that is already there
By leaving the two programs opened, I can alternate from one to the other in order to type and copy text from one to the other.
This seems long and complicated, but actually, it take less time to do this than to read this message.
I have never tried it with Chinese or Japanese. Maybe there is a font conflict in those specified language. You may try it and let us know.

Maybe you should point out that in order to paste new text into the menu's you have to "Double Click" on whatever Text you want to paste to. Double clicking on the text in the window box will then put you into Edit Mode for that text box, When in edit mode of the text box you can copy & paste text. When you double click the text then use the mouse to highlight all the the text for copying. These are standard built in windows functions..

If you want to copy the same title between pages double click on the text and type in what you want, then using the mouse highlight the text, while the text is highlighted press the "CTRL + C" key. This copies the text into the windows buffer. Go to the next menu page and double click on the text to edit it, then use the mouse again to highlight the text (or delete keys to delete it), then while you are still in the EDIT mode of the text press "CTRL + V" to paste the new text into the box.
Then click anywhere's outside of the text box to stop text edting & save the project.
