I just got a Pioneer BDC-2022 Blu-Ray drive bundled with WinDVD8LE. It's great watching Blu-Ray, but this light edition only supports stereo sound. My excellent audio card does a good job of simulating 5.1 sound from this, but I'm sure the real 5.1 sound would be much better.
I'd like to upgrade to Intervideo WinDVD 8 Platinum HD/BD, but apparently it only supports NVidia cards (I have an ATI HD 2600XT). Any news on when it'll support ATI cards? It's very odd that the bundled version of WinDVD plays Blu-Ray on an ATI card, and yet Intervideo doesn't sell any retail WinDVD edition which plays Blu-Ray and works with ATI.
