audio is distorted, when played on DVD player (VS7)

Post by gordon_fan_24 »

I just figured out how to solve my audio/video synch problem ny creating an audio file of my entire project, and insterting it in one of my audio tracks. I rendered the project and burned it to a DVD. The audio sounds distorted and almost computerized (kind of like when a computer talks, in things such as ecards, and special devices for handicapped people to talk.)Any idea why it is doing this, and is there any way to fix this, as I need the DVD done before christmas.

Thanks.

Are you muting the sound track of the original video file, or are you effectively mixing them, possibly slightly out-of-sync? That might explain the distortion.

you might be on to something there, I think I might have forgotten to do that,

I tried muting the sound on the video part, leaving just the sound of the created sound file, but that didn't work. After listening to it it sounds almost like an echo, but there isn't an echo on the original

ok, it turns out that the sound file I was creating was at 44Khz, not 48. I tried it at 48, and the echo is gone now, but now it is back out of synch. any ideas anyone. as I mentioned in the first post it is a christmas gift, so any responses in the next 2 days are appreciated.
