WinDVD 8 Platinum: Crash when run

I downloaded it off the official site and had it installed without any major problem. Now when I try to run it, it just crashes; the process WinDVD8.exe starts and kills itself immediately after.

I'm using Windows XP-SP2 by the way.

Any ideas?
